Kibworth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kibworth Harcourt and Kibworth Beauchamp are two villages in Leicestershire, south east of Leicester. The villages make up a single urban area and are often considered as one. They are approximately split by the A6 road which runs through the middle.
Kibworth has many shops and a post office. The local Cricket club won the National Club Cricket Championship in 2004.
The village also has a number of restaurants, of varying quality. By far the best is Firenze, which as the name would suggest provides Italian cuisine - but "proper" Italian food and not just pizza and pasta. The comparatively new restaurant Raitha's does provide superlative Indian cuisine.
Kibworth is close to Foxton Locks, Market Harborough, and Leicester.
Kibworth Harcourt and Beauchamp are separate civil parishes. Beauchamp is the larger, with 3,798 people (2001 census), compared to Harcourt's 990.
