Ki-67/MIB1

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ki-67/MIB1 (PMID: 10366150) is a protein present on the surface of chromosomes during the cell cycle; it is otherwise confined to the nucleus in cells that are in the G0 phase or interphase. This difference is useful in determining how many cells in a sample are actively dividing, which is particularly useful in evaluating cancers by flow cytometry.
