Khyber Teaching Hospital

Khyber Teaching Hospital (formerly called Hayat Shaheed Teaching Hospital), is a university hospital of Khyber Medical College in the city of Peshawar, Pakistan. KTH is one of the largest hospitals in the country. It is a tertiary health care facility serving a large population of the NWFP province. The more than 500-bedded hospital has most of the major and minor medical and surgical departments.
Established basically as a training and biomedical research facility for the medical students of KMC, Khyber Teaching Hospital is now a major health care facility of the country. Medical students start their clinical training in the hospital in their third academic year.
There is also a College of Nursing affiliated with the hospital where future nurses are trained.
