Khumbutse (Chinese: 昆布孜峰, Pinyin: Kūnbùzī Fēng) is the first mountain west (10 km) of Mount Everest. It lies in Basum County (Tibetan in Wylie transliteration: dpa' gsum; Chinese: 巴松, Pinyin: Bāsōng) of the Xigazê Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, at the border with Nepal.
