Khokhar

Khokhar or Khokar is a gotra of Rajputs, Jats and Tarkhans found in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in India. In Pakistan, Khokhar (Urdu: کھو کھر ) are considered as a Punjabi tribe.

Khokhar is a derivative of Kukar.

Khokhars are meant to be descended from Qutub Shah in the same way Awans are.
Khokhars broke the front lines of Mohammad of Ghori in his 1191 First Battle of Tarain against Prithviraj III. They didn't participate in the 1192 war and Prithviraj lost.
