Kherülen river

The Kherülen (Herlen, Kherlen) river rises at Hentiy Province, Mongolia, near the source of the Onon river and about 100 km west of Onon. Its source is near the watershed between the Baikal (Arctic) and Pacific basins. It flows south and east past Ulan Ereg, and then east to northeast past Choybalsan, entering China at , emptying into Hulun Nuur at , from where it continues as the Argun towards the Pacific Ocean.
