Khatra

Khatra is a sub-division of Bankura District. There is an important Kangsabati Project for irrigation located in this sub-division. Kangsabati dam has important role to farmers of the districts of Bankura and Paschim Medinipur. Khatra is on the south-west part of Bankura. Pioneer "Bratachari" Guruji Gurusadaya Datta is popular here.
