Khandavaprastha

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Khandavaprastha was a forest region on the banks of Yamuna river. Pandavas received the region when Dritrashtra divided the kigdome between his sons and the Pandavas. The forest was consumed by fire, assisted by Krishna and Arjuna. On the vacant land so created, Pandavas built their capital city and named it Indraprashtha.
