The Kh-58 is an anti-radiation missile developed by the Soviet Union. Its NATO reporting name is AS-11 Kilter. Its codename in Russia is Izdeliye 112. The missile is programmed for target indication before launch by either onboard sensors of the carrying aircraft or an external sensor pod.[1]
[edit] Development
The Kh-58 missile was developed as a replacement for the Kh-28 and was deployed in 1978. In 1992 it received an upgrade. In that same year the Kh-58A variation was deployed, specifically designed for use against naval targets.[2]
