Kevin Walters was a rugby league player from the late 1980s to the early 2000s. He spent some time playing for the Canberra Raiders before moving to the Brisbane Broncos, where he played for the majority of his career. He captained the Brisbane Broncos to an NRL premiership in 2000. He has since coached the Toowoomba Clydsedales in the Queensland Cup competition and was assistant coach for the Brisbane Broncos.

Kevin Walters followed his brother Steve Walters to the Canberra Raiders in 1987, a reserve in the clubs 1987 Grand Final and also 1989. He then went back to Brisbane to play for the

In 1990, Wally Lewis was the first choice Five-Eighth, but coach Wayne Bennett moved Lewis to lock and Walters to Five-Eighth. This was because of Walters darting runs and and deft passing. Walters helped win 1992 Grand Final which they won 10-6 over St George. 1992 was a great year for Walters, with a win in the Worl Club Challange against Wigan. Walters proved a great utility for the 1993 grand final. After solid performances through the years. At the end of 2000 he moved to Engalnd (at the request of Allan Langer, he decided it wasn't for him, so moved back to Australia playing his final season with the Broncos in 2001.
[edit] State for Queensland Maroons
He made his Queensland Maroons State of Origin debut in 1989, as a reserve. He wasn't a consisnt player for the Maroons, but was part of the winning 1998 State of Origin Team. In 1999, Walters captained the second State of Origin Match.

Walters made selction for Australia in 1990, but did not get to play until the tour of PNG. In 1992, Walters threw the winning pass to Steve Renouf's try to win the game 10-6 in Australia's World Cup.
