Kevin Kunnert

Kevin Robert Kunnert (born November 11, 1951 in Dubuque, Iowa) is a former NBA basketball player. He was drafted out of the University of Iowa by the Chicago Bulls in the first round (12th overall) of the 1973 NBA Draft. He is most famous for his involvement in "The Punch" (see Kermit Washington) occurring in a game played at the Los Angeles Forum on December 9, 1977. He also helped the Houston Rockets to a Central Division title during the 1976-77 season during which he averaged a career best 12.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
