Kevin Hasson

Kevin J. Hasson is an American lawyer and attorney who has specialized in "religious freedom" cases since 1990. These are cases in which he represents religious interests which feel victimized by alleged encroachment by secular local, state or federal government entities.

He left a large Washington, D.C. law firm to found The Becket Fund. He is a former Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel, where his responsibilities included advising the Reagan Administration on church/state issues.

He is a 1985 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, and also holds a Masters Degree in theology from Notre Dame.

His book, The Right To Be Wrong: Ending the Culture War Over Religion in America, was released in October 2005.
