Ketton Rural District
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ketton was a rural district in Rutland, England from 1894 to 1974, covering the east of the county. The district was named after Ketton. [1]
It was based on the part of the Stamford rural sanitary district that was in Rutland (other parts forming Uffington Rural District in Lincolnshire, Easton on the Hill Rural District in Northamptonshire, and Barnack Rural District in the Soke of Peterborough).
The district was abolished by the Local Government Act 1972 and merged into a single Rutland district.
