fishing community on the Chebucto Peninsula in the Halifax Regional Municipality on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean on Nova Scotia Route 349, 17 kilometers from Halifax. Over the course of the 20th century, the community keep its status as a fishing community. It is currently inhabitted by people who also , for the most part, commute to Halifax and its surrounding areas to work.
