P.Kesavadev is a well known novelist and social reformist of modern Kerala.He lived almost 80 years and his entire life was dedicated to the social and cultural development of Kerala state.He is remembered for his speeches, autobiographies, novels, dramas, short stories, films etc., Odayilninnu, Nadi, Brandalayam, Ayalkar(Central Academi Award winning novel),Ethirppu(autobiography),Oru Sundariyude Athmakadha etc., are some among his 128 works.Kesavadev along with Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai and Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer are considered the exponents of progressive Malayalam Literature.
