[edit] History
KESZ, which signed on the air in the 1980s as a Spanish language station, made the evolution to its current format in 1988. In 1999 Clear Channel would add the station to its Phoenix cluster.
The station is anchored by the highly successful "Beth and Bill Show," its Morning Drive Program since approximately 1990 and the love songs formatted Delilah at night.
[edit] Traditions.
Each year after Thanksgiving the station has a tradition of playing "Non-Stop Christmas Music". In reality the station simply replaces its current song catalog with Christmas music (as is the case with many adult contemporary stations nationwide). Beth and Bill still air as regularly scheduled but the songs they play are strictly Christmas music.
[edit] KESZ HD2
On April 25, 2006, Clear Channel announced that KESZ's HD2 subchannel will carry a format focusing on the greatest love songs of all time.
