Keough Hall is a men's residence hall at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. Its full name is Marilyn M. Keough Hall, as it was underwritten by Marilyn and Donald Keough. The dorm opened in 1996; its mascot is the Kangaroo.
Each autumn, Keough hosts an annual chariot race in which teams from each section of the dorm and other Notre Dame dorms compete. Following the race, there are other events including mud wrestling and a toga dance at the end of the night. In the Spring, Keough holds a "White Wedding" dance in which members of the dorm put together a mock wedding. The year generally concludes in Aussie Fest, in which Keough has an outdoor cookout, games, and music.
Since it's opening in 1996, Father Mark Poorman has lived on the fourth floor of Keough. The current rector of Keough Hall is Mark DeMott.
Famous residents include Linebacker, Running Back, and 2006 Captain Travis Thomas, Offensive Lineman Eric Olsen, and Linebacker Joe Brockington.
