Talk:Kendall West, Florida
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The name was chosen presumably because that was what the Rambot found when it was going through the official US Census Bureau pages. So, is it Kendall West or West Kendall? We shouldn't have the title saying one thing and the article saying the other. RickK 05:26, 4 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- I live there and I've never heard it be called "Kendall West", as far as i know it's "West Kendall" --ThrashedParanoid 21:40, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] "Kendall West" and "West Kendall" are two different areas.
According to the U.S. Census the area of Kendall West is no where near the part of Kendall. It's a census area located just north of the Hammocks subdivision west of the Florida Turnpike. "West Kendall", on the other hand, is a part of Kendall. Kendall West named "Kendall Lakes West" during the 1990 census but it's unknown on why census preparers shorten the name. This article is about the census area.
