The Kentucky Math and Science Academy will be opening in the Fall of 2007 in Bowling Green at Western Kentucky University. The project is based off of the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science. The school will be accepting 60 juniors and 60 seniors for the first class. As an incoming junior, one will be given the opportunity to earn 60 college credits during one's stint at the school. Currently, construction of Schneider Hall, the dorm where all Academy students will be housed, is underway. One can track the progress of this by visiting their official website. [1]
