Kenos Aroi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kenos Aroi (or Kenas Aroi) is a Nauran politician, and was President of Nauru from 17th August to 12th December 1989.

Aroi was part of the Nauran parliament, and was finance minister under Kennan Adeang. Before he became president, Aroi was involved in the NPC. With support from Kennan Adeang, as Hammer DeRoburt was caught in a military situation, Aroi became president on the 17th August, 1989. Adeang then became finance minister. Aroi then became deeply involved in problems three months later, and left office on the 12th of December. His ally, Bernard Dowiyogo, became the next president.

According to Australian rumour, Aroi DeRoburts is his biological son, but this is not proven. His daughter, Millicent Aroi is Nauru's ambassador to Fiji, and is a composer. Template:Nauran presidents
