Kenny Olson

Kenny Olson is a guitarist from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan.
As a native of the Detroit, Michigan, suburbs, guitarist Kenny Olson grew up with an affection for the indigenous traditions of his surroundings - muscle cars, classic rock and Motown music, and the classic guitars of his youth. A guitarist from a young age, Olson savored the sounds of the variety of Gibson instruments built at the nearby factory in Kalamazoo and being played by his favorite musicians. He got his first Gibson as a gift from his father, then began to pursue his musical dreams with full force.
He was the lead guitarist in Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band, a band hand picked by Kid Rock himself to help record his studio albums and tour. Kenny Olson plays guitar in most songs in Kid Rock's studio albums Devil Without a Cause (1998), The History of Rock (2000) , Cocky (2001) and Kid Rock (2003). Other members of this band include Uncle Kracker (DJ/turntables), Jimmie Bones (piano/harp/keyboards/organs), Jason Krause (guitars) and Stephanie Eulinberg (drums). Kenny Olson has recently quit the band to pursue his own projects. by The Scorpio Brothers and mixed by the legendary Eddie Kramer on Takes The Biscuit later this year.
