Kennedy is a city in Kittson County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 255 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²), all land.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 255 people, 115 households, and 70 families residing in the city. The population density was 234.4/km² (607.9/mi²). There were 131 housing units at an average density of 120.4/km² (312.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.61% White, and 0.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.67% of the population.

There were 115 households out of which 27.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.7% were married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.1% were non-families. 38.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.97.

In the city the population was spread out with 25.5% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 25.1% from 45 to 64, and 19.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 99.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 111.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $33,438, and the median income for a family was $46,094. Males had a median income of $30,893 versus $19,375 for females. The per capita income for the city was $23,094. About 2.8% of families and 5.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.5% of those under the age of eighteen and 4.2% of those sixty five or over.
