Ken McGrath is a famous Irish hurler who plays for both the Waterford Inter-county hurling team and the Mount Sion GAA club.

Ken started playing inter-county hurling with Waterford at the age of 17. Generally regarded as a forward, Ken at the start of his career played at either centre or wing forward. Since 2003 Ken has featured in many positions for Waterford but has now settled at Centre Back.

Considered one of the best players in Ireland, Ken has been instrumental for Waterford in many games. Ken's best game for Waterford was regarded to be the 2002 Munster Final vs Tipperary. Another notable game was the first round of the 2002 Munster Championship, where he scored the winning point against Cork, after coming on as a substitute with only minutes remaining in the game.

Ken is son to former Waterford Hurler Pat McGrath and brother to Waterford inter-county hurler, Eoin McGrath.
