Meet the Kell Baseball Coaches
Donnie English, Head Varsity Coach
The Kell Longhorns are very fortunate to have "corralled" Coach English last season. He has won over 500 games at the high school level, won 8 Region Championships and has coached the National Junior Olympic Southeast Team to a Silver Medal. In addition to receiving a Citation from the Georgia State Senate for outstanding service to school and community, honors that Coach English has received include:
One of only 7 coaches to have ever won the Circle of Achievement Award from the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year (7 times) Coach of the Year - Georgia Dugout Club (twice) Marietta Daily Journal Coach of the Year (several times) Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame Georgia Southwestern University Hall of Fame The baseball and softball complex at Osborne High School is named in his honor. Over 50 players he has coached have received athletic scholarships and several have signed professionally. Two have made it to the Major Leagues. Coach English lettered in baseball for 4 years at Georgia Southwestern University. He and his wife Barbara have two sons, Matthew and Chandler, and a granddaughter, Ella.
Kell Sports They are know for having the 2003 and 2004 fast pitch state championships led by then coach Todd Downes. Also they were in the 2005 state football playoffs led by coach Irvin Sigler. Then they were runner up in the state in baseball in the 2006 season led by head coach Donnie English.

I see no reason to include these lists in this article. While the principal is obviously of some importance to the school, it's less obvious that the girls' lacrosse coach is. It isn't standard practice with school articles to include every coach of every athletic team, and unless there's some reason to do so here, I don't see any particular value in doing so. If the coaches, assistant principals, etc. are for some reason noteworthy, then they should be included -- but that requires the citation of independent sources. Shimeru 01:52, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
