As of the summer of 2006, certifications for singles have returned to normal (500,000 shipments= Gold; 1,000,000 shipments= Platinum). Kelly Clarkson's certifications for her sophomore album are based on 200,000 shipments- Gold; 400,000= Platinum - increased by additional 200,000 shipments).

In Europe, "Breakaway" was released in June 2006 as the fifth single from the album.
