From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dr. Kelly Brackett is a fictional character from the TV series Emergency! (1972-1977). He was portrayed by Robert Fuller. Dr. Brackett was an emergency room doctor at Rampart General Hospital. He trained the first couple of batches of paramedics for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, though initially he was opposed to the paramedic program. He would eventually come to back the program enough to go to Sacramento, California to help push for the passage of a state bill that would authorize the paramedic program ("The Wedsworth-Townsend Act). As the show progressed, he would become very supportive of the paramedics, and even defended them when Paramedic Roy DeSoto was criticized for his actions by another doctor.
