Keith Macpherson

Keith Macpherson is a Canadian singer, Musician, and Songwriter. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba he auditioned for the show Canadian Idol in Toronto, Ontario. Keith was a member of the Top 22 in the fourth season of Canadian Idol.
Macpherson during his interview for CTV for the top 22 when asked what one person he identifies with, he said that "I would like to follow Paul McCartney's career path. He is an amazing songwriter, an extraordinary businessman and seems to be a very down-to-earth human being. [1]
Renée Lamoureux (band member) auditioned and didn't make it through. Macpherson made it through to the the semi-finals.
He is an English major at the University of Winnipeg.
He also sings in a local pop group Easily Amused. He has been with his band over the past 10 years without a record label or management deal. He is most proud of his band. Keith reveals his band is his biggest accomplishment and he is very proud of "performing, touring, booking, managing, recording, producing, and writing.

Since 2001 the combination of the band quickly vaulted them onto national television in Canada. Keith and Renee Lamoureux's CD Release, Simple Stuff has been nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in the “Outstanding Pop Album” category.
Canadian Music Award for Best Online Indie Artists and their touring and performing at American Campuses has recently landed them an award for The Best College Duo in the USA.
