[edit] J. Gordon Edwards
Hi, how can I help? — CuaHL ☺ 23:42, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, ok well what I've done is moved the mountaineer to J. Gordon Edwards (mountaineer) so J. Gordon Edwards is free for your contribution on the film director. As long as the little blurb at the top remains, there shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps! Feel free to leave a message if you need any more help :) — CuaHL ☺ 00:02, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Mabel taliaferro.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Mabel taliaferro.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an arguement why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -SCEhardT 04:00, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello
Hey, I had answered your question on the orphanbot help page, if you have any questions though about things in the future or images etc feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Don't get discouraged though, people doing maintenance can sometimes seem curt but they aren't really mad at you or anything, they are just busy :) Your 15ish images that are tagged wrong certainly pale in comparison to the approximately 20,000 images the group is trying to get through haha. - cohesiont 20:43, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] E. Orlandi
Hello! Thanks for your contributions! This message just to let you know that wikilinks are better in the main-text than in section headlines (not a big deal, but it unifies Wikipedia format). See Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Headings for more info. As a more important (side)note, if you know well Italian, it would be good to continue clarifying this Emanuela Orlandi story. See you, cheers! [edit] License tagging for Image:James Murray.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:James Murray.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:04, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Musicals
Hi! I'm leaving you this message because your name is listed as a participant in WikiProject Musicals (previously WikiProject Broadway) or I feel you may be interested in the project. It seems that the project has laid dormant for quite awhile, but I would like to work toward getting it up and operative. I have a few ideas that I've outlined on the talk page, and would love your input. Working together, I think we can signifigantly improve the quality of the articles relating to musicals on Wikipedia. — MusicMaker 06:14, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Avedon.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Avedon.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT 02:57, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Incorrect usage of {{EU image}} tag
Hi. I noticed a number of images you uploaded were tagged with the {{EU image}} tag. Please note that this tag is only to be used on images that have come from the European Union website, europa.eu - it can't be used to justify the use of copyrighted images from just any site hosted on a domain within the European Union! As such, I've had to tag the images as lacking a source, and they will be deleted after 7 days unless properly tagged before then. The images are as follows:

[edit] Willy Fritsch
Hi Kedar63,
I noticed you recently created the article about Willy Fritsch. I just wanted to inform you that you can post any new Germany-related articles at Portal:Germany/New article announcements and Portal:Germany/New articles. Happy editing--CarabinieriTTaallkk 19:34, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've posted that article myself. I just wanted to inform for any future Germany-related articles you may write. You just need to add it either to the stub lists or the regular article lists on both pages depending on how long the article is. That way your articles will get more exposure and other editors interested in contributing could find and improve them.--CarabinieriTTaallkk 21:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Trussardi.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Trussardi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
