[edit] Userboxes

UBX The more userboxes you have, the less likely I'll read any of them.

[edit] I'm an admin

I'm also human. Sometimes I make mistakes. If you have a problem with something I've done, do me a favor and talk to me about it. And when I say talk, I mean talk. I understand you may be upset, but saying I'm abusive, or a vandal, or yelling at me just might be the wrong way to resolve the situation. Thanks.

Oh, and you can email me for admin-related stuff, but know that I don't check my email that often, so it may be awhile before you get a response. If possible, just let me know via my talk page.

[edit] CFD closings

If you are here because you disagree with the way I closed a CFD discussion, you might want to read this first before one of us gets upset. First, re-read above, you know, the part about talking to me (not yelling, etc). If you want to know why I did something, I'll be happy to explain it. Second, know that I close these discussions with a neutral eye. I don't have an axe to grind. If I really cared one way or the other, I'd have made my opinion known before the discussion closed. Third, consensus is not vote counting. If you come to me saying "but it was 7 keeps to 5 deletes!", I'll probably just ignore you, so don't try it. It won't sway me. Consensus is determining what to do based upon what the community wants, but also based upon what is best for the encyclopedia. Everyone on earth could vote "Keep" on Category:Jimbo is a poo-head, but the end result will be a delete. Lastly, I've made my decision before you came here to complain, so obviously I think my decision is correct. I may find that your disagreement has merit, or I may have just screwed up. I have changed my mind in the past based upon new information brought to my attention. But know that I may not agree with your arguments, and choose not to make any further changes. Please do not take this personally.

Still want to chat? Leave me a message on my talk page.

I offer this beer in appreciation for your patience, valiant effort to educate others, ability to communicate frustration with grace and courtesy, amazing perseverance, and knowing when you've done all you can do (which was above and beyond). Thanks!Chidom talk  17:39, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
The Editor's Barnstar
KBdank is awarded this barnstar for his devotion to the unfashionable and unheralded job of helping to clear the deletion backlogs which are ignored by so many administrators. Your commitment to staying true to your words and honouring your "election promises" is very much appreciated in this political age. Thankyou, Blnguyen | BLabberiNg 08:56, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
