[edit] Totaka's Song

The infamous "Kazumi Totaka's Song" is a short, looping song, first featured in Mario Paint, that has been heard in almost every game he has worked on. Such games include Animal Crossing, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Link's Awakening, Yoshi Touch & Go, Super Mario Land 2, Virtual Boy Wario Land, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin 2, and Yoshi's Story.

Other games which Kazumi Totaka has worked on, but have unconfirmed appearances of the song, include Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, Wave Race 64, and X. (X would pre-date Mario Paint as the first appearance.)

[edit] Animal Crossing series

To hear the song in Animal Crossing or Animal Crossing: Wild World, enter the request "K.K. Song" from K.K. Slider between 8pm and midnight on Saturday nights. You will also receive an aircheck to listen to in your house. The song must be requested in all games except Animal Crossing: Wild World. K.K. Slider has the real name of Totakeke, which is Totaka's nickname. Totakeke is said to be an animal version caricature of Totaka. This name could be derived from how Totaka's name is said in Japanese (the last name coming first), Totaka Kazumi.
