Kawai Gyokudo

Kawai Gyokudo (川合 玉堂, November 24, 1873 in Aichi prefecture - June 30, 1957) was a Japanese painter.

Kawai was trained in nihonga at the Kono Bairei school in Kyoto. In 1896 he became the student of Hashimoto Gahō. Kawai belonged to the Kano school and Yojo school.
