Katz Kandy

Katz Kandy is a Katz episode in season 2 of Courage the Cowardly Dog in which Katz and Muriel are rivals in a candy-making contest.

Katz wants to win the Nowhere Prize of Candy, but Muriel beats him every time. He creates a monster made of Jell-O which he plans to use to kidnap Muriel to discover the secret ingredient to all her recipes. The monster takes her and Courage to Katz' hideout, and Eustace follows the trail of Jell-O and comes to a candy shop where he confront the Jell-O monster. Katz tries to force the answer out of Muriel, and when Courage interferes, the two of them have a blinking competition. Eustace manages to defeat the monster, and his appearance startles him. He blinks and Katz believes he has won. He throws Courage into a candy machine. Courage emerges in a candy shape. Katz and Eustace fight above Katz's torture machine and Katz is knocked in. He comes yet again in 2nd place in the Nowhere Candy Contest.

- In this episode Katz is very different to all his other appearances. Never before has he felt inferior by any of the main cast and he has never expressed any interest in making candy. In this episode he is also a resident of Nowhere, whereas in others he is either in a motel far from Nowhere, an island in the middle of the ocean or a ship. In Ball of Revenge it is apparentally a little difficult to bring all the villains to him. Since Katz is one of them, it seems odd that in this episode he lives in Nowhere. In this he is probably the least villainous.
- This is probably the only story in which Eustace saves the day.
