[edit] Team History

After Katy's NIFL team, the Katy Copperheads (now Texas Copperheads of the af2) left Katy, Brandon Smith announced that he would try to bring an Intense Football League team to Katy. In November 2006, they introduced the name and face of the new team. The team's name was chosen in a contest. The winner was Anthony Borjas, a 16-year old who attended Seven Lakes High School with his name ruff riders.
