Katsuya Eguchi

Katsuya Eguchi is a designer and a director at Nintendo EAD. He was born in 1965 in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in the Chiba Prefecture. He began work at Nintendo in 1986 as a designer on Super Mario Bros. 3. He first served as director for Star Fox in 1993. Other games he's been involved with include Super Mario World, Wave Race 64, Yoshi's Story and Animal Crossing. Currently, he is known to be working on a Nintendo DS game that uses the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection as well as Wii Sports. Also, he is in charge of Animal Crossing for the Wii, which is currently in development. His team was responsible for the Wii shooting demo on display at E3 2006.
