Kato Eizo

Kato Eizo (加藤栄三, b. 1906 d. 1972) was a Japanese painter in the nihonga style from Gifu prefecture.

- 1906 Born in Gifu to a lacquerware merchant. His younger brother is the nihonga painter Kato To'ichi.
- 1931 Graduates from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in nihonga studies.
- 1945 Many of Kato's works are destroyed in the Gifu air raid.
- 1958 Awarded prize by the Japan Art Academy.
