Katie Barge

Katie Barge is a former Research Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Barge started her career as researcher on the U.S. Senate campaign of Erskine Bowles in North Carolina. She had been research director at Media Matters for America and a researcher for Senator John Edwards' presidential campaign. Barge is a graduate of Wesleyan University.

Barge resigned from the DSCC in September 2005 after a staffer, Lauren B. Weiner, in her department illegally obtained the credit report of a Republican U.S. Senate candidate, Michael S. Steele, using Barge's DSCC credit card.[1]
