Kathryn Hunter

Kathryn Hunter is an English actress who has had many roles involved with British television. She is, perhaps, currently best known for her part in the drama: All or Nothing, with Timothy Spall.

On February 2, 2006, Warner Bros. announced that Kathryn will play Harry Potter's squib neighbour, Arabella Figg, in the fifth movie of the Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, due out in 2007.

Kathryn is also a revered stage actress and has won an Olivier award in 1990 for playing the millionaress in "The Visit". Throughout the month of June 2006 she is on stage at the Soho Theatre, London, playing the (male) lead in the play 'The Bee', directed by Hideko Noda - one of Japan's foremost theatre directors. In the past she has played Richard III in Barry Kyle's acclaimed version of the play for Shakespeare's Globe. She has also appeared with theatre companies Shared Experience and Complicite.

She recently appeared in the title role of Yerma by Federico Garcia Lorca at the Arcola Theatre in London in August 2006.
