Katharina Thalbach

Katharina Thalbach (born Katharina Joachim, January 19, 1954 in Berlin) is a German actress and film director.

Thalbach comes from a particularly entertainment-driven family. Her father Benno Besson was a director, her mother Sabine Thalbach was an actress. Her late husband Thomas Brasch was an author and her daughter Anna (b. 1973) is also an actress. Also her half-brother Pierre Besson and her step-mother Ursula Karusseit were also actors.
