Kate Humble

Kate Humble (born 1968 in London), is a UK television presenter mainly for the BBC, specialising in wildlife and science programmes.

Humble grew up in Buckinghamshire. After leaving school she travelled in Africa from Cape Town to Cairo, doing various jobs including working as a model, a safari driver and on a crocodile farm. She returned to Africa in 1994 and travelled in Madagascar, the subject of her first article for the Daily Telegraph travel section.

Humble started her television career as a production assistant and researcher later transferring to presenting programmes such as Top Gear, Tomorrow's World and Holiday - You Call The Shots. Most recently Humble has specialised in presenting wildlife programs, including Animal Park, Springwatch with Bill Oddie, and SeaWatch

Humble is married to TV producer Ludo Graham, producer of history programmes including Time Commanders. They first met when she was aged 16, married when she was 23, and today live in Chiswick, west London. The couple both enjoy diving, and take an annual 2-month holiday in Africa.

In September 2001 Kate and her fellow presenters appeared naked in a report from Wreck Beach in Vancouver as part of the audience suggestions in the BBC's Holiday - "You Call The Shots"
