Kat Farrell is a fictional character existing in Marvel Comics' Marvel Universe, usually appearing in comic books featuring Avengers related characters in New York City.
Her first appearance in the 2002 miniseries Deadline featured her adventures as a reporter for the Daily Bugle. Following a series of superhero homicides, Kat is led to murdered judge Michael Hart, who presided solely over superhero crimes.
Kat is trying to quit smoking, has an overprotective mother, and owned a pet fish called Bilbo Baggins who was murdered by a co-worker to try and scare her away from the Michael Hart case.
She is a top reporter for the Daily Bugle. Along with Ben Urich, she is in charge of the The Pulse.
