Rathore As well as being a Rajput clan, is a family name shared by many Kashmiri muslims. The Mughal Emperor Jahangir travelled to Srinagar, Kashmir with an army of Rathore warrioirs. Once there, the Rathore's converted to Islam, and that is the reason why Rathore is also a Kashmiri family name as well as originally being a Rajput Clan
