[edit] Removing "Upcoming films" category

I'm removing the category because Karen Alexander is not an upcoming film. She may be involved with several upcoming films, but that's not the purpose of the category.--Canonblack 16:49, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

  • The upcoming film she's "involved" in is The 1 Second Film. It's a charity fund-raising gimmick where anyone who donates a buck gets an associate producer credit (6,000 people are "producers" so far). Per their website, she donated a whole $10, so she can claim a full producer credit. No honest person would claim it as a legitimate credit. The other film she claims credit for doesn't exist at IMDB at all, and seems Unverifiable from Reliable Sources. The only references to it anywhere on the web are from Wikipedia mirrors. I'll remove the section, then, and if someone has good cause to disagree they can revert the edit. --Canonblack 11:26, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
I tried that once before. It was reverted without comment. But you're right, it should be removed. Fan-1967 15:33, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
They got re-added again. I removed them again and left the editor a note. Neither is an acceptable credit. Fan-1967 14:33, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
I reverted it on 17th September (with comment!) because IMDb are considered an acceptable source in terms whether or not a credit is Verifiable for other projects, I see no reason for the 1 Second Film to be treated any differently, besides, many producers provide little more than financial backing toward a project. In reference to the comment 'No honest person would claim it as a legitimate credit' ... the credit has clearly not been added by Karen Alexander herself, and as with all information added to the Wikipedia site, it's a matter of opinion, but if there are people pushing for it to be included it obviously bears some relevance to the people, and therefore, I believe, it should be included. --Richardrox 20:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
So if I give 10 bucks to the salvation army, can I get an article about me? Fan-1967 19:17, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
