Karram-Allah-u Wajhahu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Karram-Allah-u Wajhah (Arabic كرم الله وجهه ) May God exalt his face. It is almost solely used to honor Ali as the only early Muslim who never knelt down to an idol following his guardian and teacher Muhammad in Jahilyah. This honorific is mostly used by Sunnis and is acceptable to Shi'a. However, Shi'a prefer using 'Alayh-es-Salam or "Peace be upon him" (abbreviated "PBUH").
