Karol Podczaszyński

Karol Podczaszyński (b. 7 November 1790 in Zhirmuny, present Hrodna Province, Belarus - d. 19 April 1860 in Vilnius) was an architect, a representative of the neo-classical architecture and a professor in Vilnius University.

He has designed a Tuskulėnai Manor ensemble in Žirmūnai, Vilnius in 1825. The manor is undergoing a major restoration. Žirmūnai microdistrict in Vilnius was named after his native village Zhirmuny (Lithuanian: Žirmūnai), a part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at his birth time. The final reconstruction of the Presidential Palace of Lithuania by Vasily Stasov, was carried out under his supervision.

He is interred in Rasos Cemetery.
