Karmic Hit is a Sydney-based record label that has been dedicated to producing quality music since 1993. With a roster of artists the big guys would kill for, Karmic Hit prides itself on delivering alluring sounds fresh from the studio to the customer, cutting out the middle man in a conscious attempt to trim down the record industry fat cats. Featuring bands and musicians the calibre of Steve Kilbey, Snog, David Lane and Halogen (band) it operates under what has now become somewhat of an infamous manifesto . . .
We, the artists of and appearing on Karmic Hit, formally make our intentions known...
To create and distribute music which is , emotionally, intellectually and spiritually resonant.
To continually challenge ourselves as artists and hence challenge our audience.
To give away as much music as possible.
To engender a community of like-minded people whom enjoy our music.
To cater for our audience's wants without becoming slave to the market place.
To bring down the anachronistic, money-minded, so called 'music industry' multinationals that have been the bane of all thinking musicians since the 1960's.
To provide a forum where new and innovative thoughts and ideas can be put up for comment and appraisal.
To encourage Love, Peace and Tolerance, end oppression, cruelty to children etc. etc.
To keep our prices reasonable and affordable and to never privately call our music 'Product'.
To maintain an openness and sense of humour whilst trying to make sense of present surroundings.
