Indian variation of the word Qarluk or Karluk. Used for the legion of Turks (Hazara-i-Karlugh) left behind by Timur in the Hazara Division of the Indian Subcontinent. These Karlugh Turks continued to rule Hazara till 1700s. Their descendants live in the current Hazara Division area of Pakistan.
