Karl Spring

Karl Spring is the chief meteorologist at KBJR-TV and KDLH-TV in Duluth, Minnesota. He started in March 2006 after former forecaster Sven Sundgaard left the stations for weekend weathercasting at KARE in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to KBJR and KDLH Karl was am/midday/weekend meteorologist for KSTP-TV and chief meteorologist at WFTC, both in Minneapolis. Karl is certified by the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He and his wife, Jeanne are also licensed realtors, and have four children: Kal, Kacey, Karly and Gunnar.

Karl Spring is on air weeknights at 5, 6, and 10PM on KBJR, and at 5:30 and 10PM on KDLH. His forecasts can be found on KBJR/KDLH's webpage, northlandsnewscenter.com
