[edit] Early Life
Before creating Nile, Sanders was in a thrash metal band during the late 1980s called "Morriah" and played local shows with the young Morbid Angel and other US death metal bands. Karl Sanders was also featured in Behemoths' track "XUL" with a harmonic solo.
[edit] Project
Karl Sanders' already existing infatuation with Egyptology and Death Metal alike promoted him to initiate a band with an original sound yet intense technicality, Nile.
[edit] Solo project
Sanders began his own solo side project in 2004. Much of the music that he plays includes similar elements of his band Nile, but holds a more chilling quality of acoustic vibration.
He has recorded one solo full-length album, Saurian Meditation, released on October 26th, 2004 under the Relapse record label.
