Karin Krog (born May 15, 1937 in Oslo) is a celebrated Norwegian Vocal jazzist. She started to sing in early age and in 1955 she was hired by the pianist Kjell Karlsen to sing in his sextet.

In 1962 she started her first own group and from the same year she become a student of the well-known Norwegian-American singer Anne Brown) (the first Bess in Gershwin's Porgy and Bess) Karin studied with Anne Brown until 1969

Karin Krog has during the years work together with a lot of well-known national and international musicians, like Arild Andersen, Jan Garbarek, Dexter Gordon, Kenny Drew, Don Ellis, Archie Shepp, John Surman, Red Mitchell, Bengt Hallberg among others.

Karin has achieved a great international reputation by possessing her own recognizable style and voice. She is constantly driving herself to find new angles and has never been bound by tradition. Karin is equally at home with jazz standards, blues or electronic experimental techniques.
