Karen Marie Moning

Karen Marie Moning, (born November 1, 1964, Cincinnati, Ohio) is a bestselling author of romance novels.

Moning is a graduate of Purdue University, with a BA in Society & Law. Her first novel, Beyond the Highland Mist made Moning Waldenbooks bestselling debut romance author for 1999. Her novels have been on USA Today, Publishers Weekly and the New York Times bestseller lists. Her novels strongly feature her take on the legendary Tuatha Dé Danaan.

Moning's novels have been translated into several languages, including: German, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Italian.

Beyond the Highland Mist was nominated for two RITA's and won a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award. Moning won the RITA for The Highlander's Touch in 2001. Kiss of the Highlander was selected as one of the best mass market novels of 2002 by Publishers Weekly. The Dark Highlander was chosen one of the Top Ten Favorite Books of the year by Romance Writers of America.
